Where to travel back in time? When people are asked the question, “If you could travel back in time, at what point in history would you stop and why?” they usually take some time to think. There seems to be three groups of ideas about traveling back in time. The first group includes traveling back in time just a couple years, or even a day, because the person wanted to relive a special moment - like their first kiss or they made a stupid mistake and they would like to fix that mistake. The second group includes traveling back to the person’s childhood, or their college years, because those were the best years of their lives and the person would like to redo all of those moments - like their first time riding a bike without training wheels or making friends in college that will be their friends for the rest of their lives. The last group includes traveling to a historic moment in time like the civil war or the holocaust. When choosing where to travel back in time, it usually has to have meaning and cannot be something from out of the blue. For example, if someone chooses to travel back a day because they want to eat the same meal, that has no meaning because they can do that in the present. If they choose to travel back a day because they want to fix the mistake of having a fight with their best friend, and now they dislike each other, that has meaning.
