Phong’s nickname was "Tiger" because of his bravery. Earl Woods was an African American, while Kultida was a native of Thailand; these two different ethnic backgrounds shaped Tiger into the activist for equal rights that he is today. Tiger’s father had a passion for golf and decided to get his only child involved in the sport he loved. At the age of three Tiger received his first set of clubs from Earl and started playing golf on a regular basis. He grew up playing golf just on the weekends, because the priority in his life was still school.
I think ad of D&G is much better than ad of Tag Heuer because Tag Heuer missed so many important things of ad. If within these two ads we will see the different way of selling, use of model, colors and etc, you can realize why Tag Heuer’s ad is not successful. The first ad, the model is Tiger Woods who is professional golf player and very famous in the United States. His right wrist wears the limited edition of TAG Heuer automatic chronograph watch and the other hand hold a golf club and his eyes look up at the camera so if we see his eyes, audience and Tiger Woods eyes maybe meet each other. He looks as if to say that we should buy a Tag Heuer.
Ming is by far China's most recognizable athlete and still remains a popular figure in his home country of China. Ming is also a long-time animal rights activist and has previously launched a campaign named "Say No to Shark Fin Soup." Like his current campaign, social media was an integral part if the strategy. In this movement he was able to persuade his fellow countrymen to give up shark fin soup, which is one of China's traditional delicacies. Consequently his "Say No to Shark Fin Soup" campaign reduced the consumption of shark fins by fifty to seventy percent (WildAid).

Aaron Poret English 1301 Mrs. Standley December 10, 2009 Tiger Woods’ alleged sex scandal has been leaked to almost every website, magazine, and newspaper in the nation. The question is; is his personal life really any of the public’s business or concern? I can understand both sides of the argument. Some people say because he is the face of the world’s largest sports supply company that everything he does is the public’s business. Others say what he does with his life is his personal business and he deserves his privacy, as does everyone else.
Bethany just launched her own foundation, which supports shark attack survivors, traumatic amputees, and serves to inspire others through her adversity. Walt Disney was fired from the Kansas City newspaper for not being creative enough and was considered “slow” as a child. He is now considered one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world, and holds the record for the most awards and most nominations. Walt Disney put it best when he said, “All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me. You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.” As shown, adversity can be beat.
TerraCog GPS – Navigating Group Conflict to Arrive at Your Destination Background TerraCog Global Positioning Systems (GPS) is a private manufacturer of portable global positioning systems marketed towards outdoorsmen. Since the company began selling GPS products in the late 1990s, its products were perceived has high-end and therefore highly valued by consumers. Although TerraCog consistently lacked product innovation compared to its competitors, their ability to address customer needs allowed for lag time as they always surpass competitors to gain and maintain market share when their new products eventually roll out. However, in the summer of 2006 a competitor, Posthaste, unveiled a GPS utilizing satellite imagery called “BirdsI”, instead of the vector-based graphics the rest of the industry had been using. The management team at TerraCog dismissed this product as viable competition to their market leading products, thinking “BirdsI” lacked accuracy and reception quality.
Nike Defeating Chinese Culture Intercultural awareness is something that the Nike Shoe Company has come to realize is very important when it comes to marketing their shoes. Whether they are selling shoes, or other clothing products, Nike has to realize who their intended audience is in order to be globally recognized as the top athletic company. After being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003, Lebron James signed a $90 million, seven-year endorsement contract, making him the highest paid Nike representative. Because of this, James had a responsibility to work hard for Nike. About a year after he was drafted, the Chinese government banned a commercial featuring James due to it offending “national dignity” (CBC News).
In my opinion, all this cannot do without Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos. He invested $350 million of his own money to change downtown Las Vegas, encountered the dilemma of out of money twice, helped company make it through and finally made a profit, and he even rejected a buyout offer by Amazon until Amazon had come to appreciate their company culture as well as their strong sales. He mentioned in Emily Yellin’s book that “while there [was] this kind of [daydream] of the best service here, we still [had] to make [a decision] at the end of the day. We still [had] financial goals to make, your call was important to us. [And] we still [had] to look at P&L statements, and a balance sheet, and [figured] out what [were] the best place to invest our resources to have the biggest return.” With the outstanding leadership of him, Zappos gradually built up its own brand effect which is famous for its brilliant customer service.
Bad Boys 2 An all-time favourite of mine is Bad Boys. Will Smith has always been one of my favourite crucial characters and my reasons for this opinion are echoed though his performance in the two Bad Boy films. Bad boys I set a baffling precedent after 128 million dollar earning from Hollywood alone. Can the second one beat it? Detective Mike Lowrey played by Will Smith and Detective Marcus Burnette played by Martin Lawrence team up again since 1995 for the development - Bad Boys II.
