The Third Generation iPad The Third Generation iPad, marketed as “The new iPad”, is a tablet computer designed and sold by Apple Inc. This gadget was released to the public on March 16th, 2012, selling 15 million units within the first nine months it was on the shelves. The new iPad changed the tablet market with its release; boasting a stunning new Retina Display, new features, and Wi-Fi/4G LTE capability. Smaller than a laptop yet larger than a smartphone, the iPad revolutionizes tablet devices. To increase the hands-on experience of the new iPad, Apple created the Retina Display. The display is named this because the pixels of the screen are unseen to the human eye, leaving us with one of the best screens a handheld device has ever had. This superbly crisp, clear screen has four times more pixels than the iPad 2 and a million more pixels than a high definition television. The 9.7-inch screen contains 1536 x 2048 pixels, which is extremely impressive. Text appears razor-sharp and allows for an enhanced experience when reading on the device. Tests and reviews prove that this iPad has showed that the colors really pop. The colors are so bright and vivid that one would brag it’s the best visual display quality that’s ever been seen before. For the first time ever you have a hand-held device with such impressive quality that you no longer have to deal with blurry text and horrible pixilation. The new iPad also includes an amazingly fast new processor. The high performance, dual-core Apple A5X processor gives you the same speeds as the iPad 2, while still powering the updated iPad 3’s display. This new processor is a huge upgrade from the first generation iPad. The new iPad also increased it’s memory times two since the first generation, allowing for a super fast tablet device. This new device also has what is called iSight; a five mega-pixel
