Critical Thinking Habits Most Useful in Interpreting In “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Gilman Critical thinking is one important thing that people should consider using it in daily life. Critical thinking is a process of identification and evaluation of evidence when making a decision and it will clarify a task and finally guide to the best outcome. Some people might say “I know how to think”, “I have been thinking all of my life”, however, it is not easy to think critically. People have to learn, practice, and improve the habits of critical thinking in order to achieve it. Here there are some critical thinking habits most useful in interpreting in “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Gilman which are ask questions, define terms and concepts, and analyze assumptions and biases.
To be able to do this there needs to be clear objectives set which must be worked towards in order to reach the desired outcome. To be able to work with outcome based practice the desired outcome must be established first, this helps the team, service users and others know what the end product should be. Throughout this process there should be regular reviews to find out how outcomes are being met and find out the impact or changes that it had had on the service user. Where positive changes have been identified the programme should continue towards the goal, if however there appears to have had a negative impact on the service users then new strategies should be discussed. It follows a person centred approach to support, always keeping the needs and wishes of the service user in mind and looking to achieve the best possible outcome.
They know that they will be included in the planning and all the decision and the contents of the plan is for their benefits. 1.3 - Explain the beliefs and values on which person-centred thinking and planning is based. The beliefs and values of the owner of the plan must be respected, be considered and must be prioritized. In the process of planning, the appointed person who is doing the plan must know and gather knowledge about what they like and what they don’t like. Their plan must be based on what they truly like, what they believe and the values they practices.
The last element is decision making and managers must do this after reviewing the choices from the information and the alternatives given in the reports or logs. Decisions rely on this information and that is why it is imperative to have honest and accurate reporting (Baker & Baker, 2011).
