Coach K at last led Duke to victory in 1991, winning their first national championship. Once again in the year 1992, Duke won the national title, and maintained the national number one ranking throughout the season, this time by 20 points. Mike Krzyzewski is the only coach since John Wooden to win two consecutive NCAA championships. Once again the Duke team made it to the championship in 1994, losing by only 4 points to Arkansas. In 1976, the Hoosiers were undefeated at 32-0 and won championship, beating Michigan 86-68 in the title game. Knight’s Hoosiers also won championships in 1981. When Indiana won the 1979 NIT championships, Knight led the U.S. national team to a gold metal in the Olympic Games as coach of the Michael Jordan team.

In his third season, Wade helped lead the Miami Heat to their first NBA Championship in franchise history. He was named the 2006 NBA Finals MVP as he helped lead the Heat to a 4–2 series win over the Dallas Mavericks. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Wade led the United States Men's Basketball team, commonly known as the "Redeem Team", in scoring, as they captured gold medal honors in Beijing, China. John Wooden is best known for his success as a basketball player as well as one of the greatest coaches of all time. As a coach, he won ten NCAA national championships in a twelve-year period with UCLA, seven of which were in a row. His teams won a record 88 consecutive games, and Wooden was given the honor of being named national coach of the year six times throughout his career. Wooden was also a very successful player; being the first to be named basketball All-American three times and he won a national championship with Purdue (Wikipedia). He was also the first person ever to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as a player as well as a coach.
Andrew “Joey” Johns Andrew Johns is a former professional Rugby League player who is most famously known for being the halfback and captain for the Newcastle knights. He first played in the Newcastle knights juniors at age 15, in 1989. From then on it was evident that he was a skilful player, and when the opportunity to play in first grade presented itself four years later he took it. He was an instant success scoring 23 points in his debut match against the Rabbitohs, earning him the man of the match award. He would later go on to lead the knights first premiership victories in 1997 and 2001, as well as playing in 2 world cups and 1 kangaroo tour.
