Name Instructor Course Date There is no hope of doing perfect research. Yes, I settle for the opinion that “there is no hope of doing perfect research”. Research is defined as a careful examination or investigation in search of factual knowledge in a particular division of knowledge. Through research we discover what has not yet been discovered and put it down as knowledge. The question of doing perfect research is based on the degree of perfection expected out of the results of a particular research, researches in any field are undertaken to improve the prevailing conditions ,a perfect research should therefore not lead us into further investigation and demands desirable conditions. The objective of any research is to discover some hidden information and bring it to light and it is eminent therefore that if a research was to be considered perfect there would be no further need for any more research and all researches related to that field would no longer be useful, the lack of perfection in research resulted into people’s need to attain this perfection and in their efforts they ended up making big discoveries in other fields. Perfection would also mean that there are no errors in the entire research process, and since the researches are conducted by human beings they are bound to have errors, human beings also have different perceptions and reasoning that may lead to different judgments and beliefs, humans are also biased and prejudiced along different lines. Researches are also carried out using different methods; however they all follow the same procedure in implementation. Gathering of data and analysis form an integral part of any research. However they both vary immensely subject to other factors like period of research, location and the methodologies of sampling, therefore there is a possibility of people doing same research and obtaining
