Topic: Theory of the left-brain/right-brain modes of thinking and how it affects learning?
The brain is a very important part of the human body. It is the control center for the central nervous system where it is in charge of behavior. Each side of the brain performs different task. The left side of your brain controls the right side of your body while the right side of your brain controls the left side of your body. “The left side of the brain processes information in a linear manner. It process from part to whole. It takes pieces, lines them up, and arranges them in a logical order; then it draws conclusions. The right brain, however, processes from whole to part, holistically. It starts with the answer. It sees the big picture first, not the details.” (http://www.mtsu.edu/~studskl/hd/learn.html)
“The right side of the brain focuses on the visual, and processes information in an intuitive and simultaneous way. The focus of the left brain is verbal, processing information in an analytical and sequential way.”(about.com)There are also some other characteristics of the left/right side of the brain.
