Theatre Reflection Clarence walked into the theatre with nothing but his ticket receipt. He has been waiting to watch this film for months, but now that he’s there, he doesn’t even know the name of the film he has been anticipating for. After only fifteen minutes of being there Clarence has relocated himself around the dimmed theatre at least 4 times, he is not nervous, he is just uncomfortable- he tells himself. The theatre lights swiftly darken, and the screen lights only reflect off of him. He squints his eyes, for the reflection is much more immense then it usually is. The film begins, and it starts off with a young man suited in all corduroy, matched with a skinny burgundy tie. The youth is walking confident, stern, he looks like someone Clarence use to be. It’s the season of autumn- his favourite season out of all four, and the burnt orange, yellow, and red colours fill the theatre screen until the young man has finally made his way to a very highly polished door. An older man opens the door- he’s wildly familiar, but he must be in another film Clarence has seen. “Hello Mr. Ackermann, it’s nice to see you again.” The youth says as he directs his hand towards the man. “It’s nice to see you too; Annette should be coming down shortly.” The man says as he pounds a hard hand shake to the young man’s delicate one. “Annette! Come down now; don’t want to keep the boy waiting! Annette!” – “I’m ready!” a soft voice calls in the background. There she was on the screen. She appeared first as a blur to Clarence, but her rosé hued lips were pursed ever so slightly, her hair hung in delicate curls around her pale shoulders, and her dress; a deep shade of blue that could only be fought by the blue in her eyes, was cut just low enough across her breast.
