It seems his roommate gave him an invisible power to overcome his nervous habits. If he is previously an outcast, thanks to smoking he turns into normal. With a slapstick Ta 3 humor, the author pulls the readers forward to the most interesting aspects of his life. Smoking is a big event to help him having a better life that lets him to communicate with people. At the end his story, he uses the hot-air balloon to emphasize his success of smoking; it releases him from mental disorders.
Also it wasn’t very clear in what happened to Jeremy. This was a great ending because this book always keeps you thinking but never find out what really happens. The behavior and mentality of drug addicts and alcoholics is wholly irrational until individual understand that they are completely powerless over their addiction and unless they have structure help, they have no hope. Some say that it does not affect the teenagers because they will stop before they are 20, however, that is not the case. Once you start smoking it is almost impossible to stop and you have already infested your lungs with the puffs of smoke. The moment the tobacco enters your lungs you are putting your health in danger. Lung cancer, bronchitis, and heart diseases are all effects of smoking tobacco.
This is because chronic exposure to the nicotine eventually results in a chronic stress situation for the addict, characterised by withdrawal symptoms. This is effective at explaining why the smoking is maintained because as the withdrawal symptoms affect the user so negatively if the substance is stopped, the addiction is maintained to avoid this negative experience. Behavior Change Contract Paper When I first read this week’s assignment it surprised me because I was already making a contract with myself to quit smoking. I currently smoke about a half a pack a day and I know that it is very unhealthy for me and the people around me. I currently just started a new job and do not have insurance at this time. The reason this is important is because I have tried to quit smoking on my own and failed too many times. With insurance I can get a drug called Chantix which helps blocks the sensors that make people enjoy smoking cigarettes.
He did not look up to him when that happened. Cologero did not think the beating was entirely wrong but he did not think that going to the extent that they went to was necessary. I could tell by the look on his face after it had happened. If I were put into this situation, I would have done the same thing as Cologero. There is not much I can do, except stand there and watch.

I could not look at Jarred straight in the eye. It was as if I was embarrassed for talking to him, but he should have been the one who should be shaking at the knees.
