Throughout the story, Tracy O’Dowd and Sergio Velarde, the two main characters, share their experience in Ecuador with human trafficking. Their journey takes place in La Luna, a club infamous for its exploitation of underage girls. This use of setting helps develop the main point of the article. This story discloses the fact that in election campaign all means were good. In order to attain the governor’s post the politicians are eager to break written and unwritten laws, principles, buy everything and everybody. According to the story the narrator was unfairly charged with numerous crimes like perjury, bribery, theft, defilement, drunkenness, corruption, blackmail. Smugglers promise jobs that will allow them to support their families and overall chances at better, but, this is just the allurement for a dangerous trap. I believe that kidnapping the Princess is more powerful then one may understand, due to the fact that Senegalese women played such an important role in their everyday society. Sembene makes this evident as he starts his movie off with several minutes of scenes consisting of solely women doing everyday chores, with no words, and only music playing. So, by the Ceddo kidnapping Princess Dior Yacine, they are taking away something that has a strong representation in their village. But what seems to be confusing is the reaction of the imam and his disciples when the women come running to them yelling that the princess has been kidnapped. When this happens, they continue to pray and act as if they aren’t fazed at all by this news.

More than 80 percent of these migrant women detained were found to have a credible threat to their safety if they were returned home. Yet, nearly 80 percent of these cases are ending with DHS [Department of Homeland Security] ordering these same families deported back to the very dangerous conditions they fled. Disturbingly, it has been reported that as many as 83 Central

The Aunts teach the Handmaids at the Red Centre about how women are now protected and respected. In reality, Gilead is turning women against women. The girls at the Red Centre are supposed to testify about their past lives, and when Janine confessed she was raped, the other Handmaids didn’t sympathise with her at all but were forced to condemn her that the rape was Janine’s fault because she led them on. And Offred admitted that “We meant it, which was the bad thing”. The condemnation might have started out because they were forced to but eventually the Handmaids enjoy comdemning each other.
