The Value of Internet Recruiting In the present time the majority of organizations are resorting to recruiting employees by via internet. Online recruiting encompasses online sources used for the recruitment and selection of candidates, which can include job boards, applicant tracking systems, resume databases, online testing and assessments. There are many reasons as to why this is a valuable resource to many. The biggest reason is cost. Advertising is costly on a company, and when a company advertises a position for job, money is spent to try and find someone to hire. These ads can be found almost everywhere, bus stops, newspapers and even bathroom stalls. Putting ads on the internet is virtually free or inexpensive. Having ads on the internet reduces the cost-of-hire, you get a wider reach for both candidates and employers. It allows for a better confidentiality for both the company and candidate. The efficiency of this way of recruiting is much higher. It uses tools, such as testing and screening to screen candidates to allow you to select the qualified candidates fit for your company. Allowing the employers to seek very specific skilled applicants. So the right people are applying to the right positions. Also almost everyone today has some kind of device that has access to the internet. Therefore almost anyone can search job positions at anytime of the day and apply no matter where they are. Internet recruiting can be very valuable in the sense that it saves both money and time while being rather effective for both the applicant and employer.
