The thought ran across his mind briefly reminding him of when he was a younger man. Indeed, he loved music and could relate to the peculiar screeching of strings that fiddled with emotions (Cherry 968). Perhaps it was a violin or perhaps he played the instrument. Cherry seems as though maybe she knew a loved one who suffered from Alzheimer’s. The poem has some intimacy or insider’s view on how a person with Alzheimer’s mind works.
It shows how he struggled while he was alive to earn for his family and profit off of his music. Like so many great artists of his time, he only was able to gain fame and fortune posthumous. You see a role that his family may have played in not only helping but also hindering in his writing of music. And most importantly it shows off his expertise in the understanding of music, one point in the movie depicting Mozart writing an entire symphony in his head. The movie showed the Classical Spirit typical to that commonly associated with late 1700’s Europe.

There are so many symptoms; some of them might bring you to believe a person has a different disorder. In most cases, it is not what it would initially seem. When first introduced to the patients on the ward in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, it is assumed that this is a real group of whack jobs. They are living in a mental institution, after all. There is a huge Native American man with a broom who does not speak, an extremely shy man with a stutter, a loud and rebellious man
Lone Ranger, (Henry Ovalles) is a very picky man with deceiving looks. He has a tumor, but does not want anyone to know about it. Unlike Lone Ranger, (Macho Man) has too much stories to tell; he says that he slept on the wheel and bruised himself; he also makes a lot of noise and shares all his secrets to Lone Ranger. This is the excuse he gives to escape witnessing the birth of his baby daughter. Chaunice Chapman designed the set; it reflects hospitals during the late 90’s.
This is the reason it is evident with Herr Keller the rejection of types of music and composers in the text. In Maestro, allows a deeper understanding of secondary characters as well as the main characters. Herr Keller’s past is important as it enables us to understand him as a character, with music being a key symbol in his life. The maestro’s preference for certain eras of music allows the reader to recognise the pain he suffers when listening to specific composers, due to the suffering experienced in his past. Mozart and Bach represent the music Herr Keller uses to seek refuge of the romantics.
In Louis Nowras play ‘Cosi’ the characters involved appear to be divided between being both happy and sad. While they all have various illnesses and outlooks on life they are all brought together to perform the play ‘Cosi’ so that they may break free from the shells their illnesses have put them in and to give them the self-confidence they so desperately need. There are many factors which influence the characters ability to be happy or sad and there are a few that actually experience both these emotions. While Henry, Zac and Ruth appear to be ultimately very depressed because of the situations they were involved in in the past , Roy and the others experience both emotions because of their mental conditions and medication they receive. Those outside the asylum seem relatively happy while they are doing what they are passionate about, Nick and Lucy there fight against the Vietnam war, and Lewis directing ‘Cosi’.

Alex McKenzie Music History III Mid-Term Paper 10/8/09 The Rach Sergei Rachmaninoff is considered to many people as one of the last, if not the last, true link to 19th century Romanticism in music composition. He was known for his stern manner, huge hands that helped in his piano playing, and for his few, but exciting compositions. Many at the time he was alive did not like his music because they thought he was behind modern composition, but the remaining romantic composers and fans of romantic music praised his works. To this day the last great romantic’s pieces are played and loved by many. Born 1 April, 1873 in Semyonovo, Russia, Sergei Rachmaninoff was the son of Vasily and Lubov Rachmaninoff.
