Social Work as a disciplined can be seen as a profession concerned with helping individuals, families, groups and communities to enhance their individual and collective well-being. It also aims to help people develop their skills and their ability to use their own resources and those of the community to solve problems. The introductory part here is so simple and straight forward in looking at the case study-that is the Susan Thomas Family. As a social worker who faced with such a problem or situation, it is good that I mention some Theorist that also focused their attention towards such problem especially in the nuclear family. For example, the system theory-which focuses on the psychosocial aspect of the child, the behavioral theory- which also talked about the humanistic aspect, that is your behavior, cognitive and psychomotor skills in every human being. Furthermore, I also try to mention the methods that are employed in looking at such a problem like this for instance, the assessment, intervention, reviewing, endings and evaluation methods. The case work here is about Susan Thomas and her family especially with her elder son Mark who is 18 years old, and that of Paul, whom we saw joined the family one year after the divorced of Susan’s husband. As a social worker, I can assume that Paul is the boyfriend to Susan, because I am told that she divorced her husband few years back. And now I am seeing Paul coming to this home which he has never done before. And now his visit has created a lot of problems in this home, especially with Mark. The boy can no longer take control in the home. As a social professional, one can see the grief and unhappy mode in Marks face, just to show that something must have gone wrong. It seems as if Marks biological father was a caring and loving father in this family. so in relation of this separation in the family, Mark can no
