Antonia is a young girl who deals with family issues and overwhelming responsibility in her one depressed parent family. On the other hand Jazz deals with trying to make her parents accept who she truly is and she also constantly rebels. While Jazz's Gothic look may be deceiving but she is completely different once you get to know her. Someone of her appearance would never be assumed to play the piano and save lives as a lifeguard. While the two girls have their own unique points they also have one thing in common and that is family issues.

Schwind-Pawlak presents this argument poorly due to her change of heart towards the end of the essay. She does not stick to her beginning argument which causes the opposition to lack stability. This book is about a girl named Maleeka. She is bullied because of her very dark skin. Maleeka soon becomes ashamed of her own self. She is also teased about the clothes her mom makes for her, since her father died and they now are poor. So Maleeka turns to Charlese Jones, a girl who you don't mess with and who always wants to be in control.

Years later, Tana has been given the Cold and Pearl is now left with no one there for her. This character is easy to sympathize with because she has gone through many hardships at a young age, and is left with no family to care for her Next, the author makes it so that the reader can easily sympathize with Tana. This is because Tana is used and attacked by her mother, who was unable to control her temptations. The Cold makes you thirsty for human blood and Tana’s mother manipulated her and appealed to her naivety by saying that she changed and was better.
She prefers to spend more time with herself than with her family because of this she has a weak relationship with her parents. The story discusses how she has two sides: one for home and one for not being home. Her abduction was solely due to her fault for her appearance that she presented in public, to the relationship that she had with her family and lastly her naiveness. The antagonist Arnold Friend somehow knew about Connie. He saw a great opportunity the moment he set his eyes on her.
But if Pattyn pulled up a gun to her father’s face her would tell her he loves her but do you really think he is telling her the truth? These two well written novels are very similar, two main similarities are both Baby and Anne were never loved properly, and both Baby and Anne’s mothers died. There were three types of characters in this story; Dee was the static character who remained unchanged throughout the story, Mama was the dynamic character who caused a change in others, while Maggie was the dynamic character who changed during the story. The fact that Mama knows the inner thoughts of her daughters makes her a limited omniscient narrator. She begins telling the readers that she and Maggie will wait in their comfortable clean yard for “Her” to come. By using the word her to describe the character before stating her name, Mama makes her larger than life; someone other worldly of a higher status. Mama then goes on to describe how nervous Maggie will be until her sister leaves, “standing hopelessly in corners”, “eyeing her sister with a mixture of envy and awe.” She then goes onto reminisce about a dream she had in which she and her daughter Dee, were reunited on a talk show.
Mean Girls is sending a message to say take responsibility for your before it gets worse. In Mean Girls Cady acts like an innocent bystander and doesn’t own up to anything she has done. When she keeps ditching her real friends Janice and Damian and then denies doing it. When Cady was at Regina’s house and writing stuff in the burn book and talking about people behind their backs and says “ I know it may seem like I’ve become a bitch, but that’s only because I was acting like a bitch” She was in denial of doing anything wrong and she was just acting. Kat is disappointed with teenage popularity and claims “I’m not hostile, just annoyed” This shows her choice to ignore the upcoming dramas of teenage normalcy and embrace her own individuality.
