They would be able to quickly form a location of need for food and water as well as provide a place for those to gather and receive the basic necessities. Places like the Red Cross would also be there with tents set up for blood donations. Socialist system is an idea that every person works for the sake of the community. However this is typically short lived and once the crisis is over people move on with their regular lives. Also there are always those who try to benefit from disasters giving some organizations a bad name.
When someone falls down we can all help him up. This is exactly what the gangs need. They don't have a real family that love them and so we should be there for them. In this way we can show them that they are accepted and don't have to turn to the gang life in order to be accepted. In the chapter G talked about how when he got leukemia all the former gang members would come to him and say that after him taking care of them for so long it was now their turn to take care of him.
Contribute new ideas. Can be called upon in emergencies and used as battlefield casualty replacements in the military, they can assist with fund-raising in some public services. Volunteers have an enormous impact on the health and well-being of communities worldwide. Think of all the ways that volunteers make a difference in day-to-day life: Volunteers deliver critical services from serving as volunteer fire fighters or participating in search and rescue, to delivering meals to homebound seniors or homeless youth, to manning the phone lines at domestic violence and sexual assault centers. Volunteers help to keep our neighborhoods, streets, parks, rivers, green spaces, and water clean and safe for everyone.
Even though the families were faced with all kinds of challenges they survived because they became united. The Joad family unites with themselves because they do not want to bear the grief of Grampa’s death individually. Other families unite with complete strangers when they get to the roadside camps and the Hoovervilles. Tom Joad unites himself with all mankind when he determines that his people are all people. When faced with hard times and challenges it is sometimes hard for a single person to overcome some things, which is why people
Ultimately, moral courage creates a positive difference in the world. Anyone can help someone it just takes a courageous heart. Many important jobs are making a difference in people’s lives: police officers, military soldiers, fire fighters, teachers, doctors, scientists (David Tu). These people have moral courage to do what they think is right, even if it means putting themselves in danger. Fire fighters fight to save not only people, but things that are important to people such as homes, pets, and valuable belongings.
When Dax said he was happy to be alive it gave Dr. Larson reassurance for his actions years before. He also claimed that Dax had many opportunities to take his own life after the treatment, which he failed to do so. I see this as the most prolific positive for keeping Dax alive. He was able to continue seeing his family and enjoy being alive given his quality of life. It is difficult to put yourself into the situation Dax was dealing with, the only way to understand would require one of us experiencing the pain he was going through.
Similar to the incident in Boston and West, people united and became on to make sure everyone was safe and those injured were treated. Unfortunately Boston bombing and West explosion took lives and many more were injured. I continue to pray for all the families who were affected by any tragic incident at the hand of irresponsible, selfish, and heartless individuals. It brings everyone together and we stands united whenever tragedy strikes whether acts of nature, terrorism, or random acts of
“The Confrontation” The main character, Manuel, was the strongest worker of them all. Not by how he works, but how he shows all his heart to stand up for him and his fellow workers. It takes a real man, like Manuel, to stand up for so many workers. You can compare Manuel to someone of such great achievements like Cesar Chavez. In “The Confrontation”, despite Roberto’s humiliating statements and actions towards the workers, one brave farmer, Manuel, stands up for all the farmers with honor and pride against Roberto’s oppression and degration.
All of these men and women put their life on the line for the protection of a country that they love. It is important to them that when the return from the jobs that they are welcomed with open arms not just by their family but by employment opportunities as well. The journey back into civilian life is a challenge for many war veterans and there are many programs and people trying to get these heroes back to work, but for many they find it a challenging task. It is important to see how these Americans cope with these changes in their life, what is being done about it, and why this is the new greatest generation. Every day there are Americans departing for a war zone or returning from their most recent tour.
The reasoning behind this group being loaded first is the children still have a full lives left to live, and should not live it without their parents. Following this group being loaded, the procedure for loading the boats will be determined by age and current health state. Anyone that is wounded, severely ill, and or old and frail will be asked to be loading into the boats last, pending there is any space. This is because this group has a lower chance of living thru this trauma. The crew will also be asked to be loaded last because the crew will be essential in loading the lifeboats.
