The Role Of Meritocracy In Canada

An Unfair Playing Field Today, people would like to think that their achievements or what they set out to achieve was or can be obtained by their intelligence, effort and by their abilities. They would like to believe that their society is a meritocracy. Meritocracy is a system where outcomes such as jobs, wealth, opportunities and power are given on the principle of intelligence and effort, meaning that ones accomplishments were fairly earned. Meritocracy is considered to be the ideal social system because it is bias free and encourages equality.
