Overtime the Constitution has been amended and thus the amendments have been established to further protect citizens from unlawful or repressive acts of government (Bill of Rights are included in the first ten amendments and were established in 1791). Inasmuch, the limited powers have been granted to the three branches of government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial) known as enumerated powers. Primary powers of government have been given to Congress; Congress has enumerated powers in 18 different clauses. The powers that generally impact business owners and managers include (1) the power to regulate commerce ( Commerce Clause ); (2) taxing the citizenry and commercial entities and spending government funds
An absolute ethical view among 1st world countries is that child labor trafficking is completely wrong. However, the people of the Ivory Coast think that child labor trafficking is acceptable because it is all they have ever known; it is their way of life. Consequently, I feel that child labor trafficking is not absolutely wrong, but it is unethical in MOST aspects. I believe that if the children are going to work, they should also receive basic human rights like the right to an education. Many companies view things on a cold calculated scale one of the justifications commonly used by corporations is that they are in compliance with the local laws so if the company is having products manufactured in a country that does not enforce child labor laws then they are not responsible.
The use of temporary workers helps the business to maintain staffing flexibility and reduces hiring costs. In my opinion, temporary workers are as important as regular employees and there should be laws assuring them access to the same or similar benefits. Even though it is often believed temporary employees do not want to devote their time and loyalty to any employer and that is why should not get basic benefits such as health insurance or retirement benefits, it seems to me that temporary workers play a significant role to businesses in terms of lowering costs and should not be left on their own without any laws and regulations protecting their privileges. same provisions, employees may be appointed to subsequent temporary appointments in different departments. Benefits for eligible temporary employees include the following: health and life insurance, sick and vacation leave, holiday pay, injury leave, civil leave, and military leave.
Pricing, billing and collecting fees What CPA firms can do to run their businesses more efficiently and effectively. By Edward Mendlowitz, CPA/ABV/PFS/CFF CPA firms provide invaluable advice to business clients but often struggle to run their own businesses effectively, particularly in the areas of pricing, billing and collections. Failure to set appropriate fees, deliver bills in a timely fashion and collect payment promptly—or even in full—cuts into a firm’s profitability, hurting the business and the accountants in it. Remedying this situation requires CPA firms to make a conscious effort to ensure they get paid an appropriate price in a timely fashion. To best do this, CPA firms should secure the fee agreement upfront, when their value to the client is greatest, and make sure they deliver excellent work on, or ahead of, schedule.
* Constitutions are used as the overriding law. The constitution laws establish the principles of government involvement in either federal or state level law. This created the branches of the government, presents certain powers of each branch and what powers they do not have. The constitution prevents other government parties from passing laws that specifically limit individual rights. * Administrative laws are elected by administrative agencies.
It is usually recommended that any career use honesty as a quality, but it is extremely important that criminal justice professionals have honesty as well. Law enforcement is occasionally known for being corrupt, and it is so important for our law enforcement officers to be truthful on all applications, reports, and everyday work. This provides for more efficient and trustworthy public servants. The most important reason for honesty is simply to ensure that the innocent stay that way and are not caught in the lies of the accusers. Criminal justice professionals play an important role in the court system, and if they lie on accusations and evidence, the innocent become victims of the dishonesty.
These goals are accomplished using tangible countermeasures ranging from fencing and lighting to electronic surveillance equipment and carefully defined policies and procedures. The basic concept of physical security is to create barriers or obstacles that will protect people, their assets, and the environment. While people are not always the threats that businesses fear, natural disasters are a big part of their problems depending on the areas they live in. Physical security can’t prevent everything but creating protocols and ways to back up systems or to create a way for these businesses to rebuild without completely losing their business is a way to protect. To be prepared for anything is hard to do but with research and good instincts a business could be and feel safe from manmade and natural disasters.

September 9, 2008 CJ-250 Essay #1 Functional Crime Emile Durkheim theorized that crime is a normal act in society. I agree that crime is necessary to maintain a stable community and society. Although I do not agree with crime being wise, I do see it as a “what not to do” example for our youth today. There are many negative effects of crime, but there are positive effects too that can influence a community for the better. Is it really fair to say that without crime, our world would be a better place?
