Although the computer is fantastic in many ways and has helped improve civilization’s way of living, have people all over the world come to rely on this device too much? Computers make life far easier and many people living today probably could not function if they were sent back in time before computers were created. Although people are just taking advantage of the presence of this technology, people need to realize how to use it responsibly and not to overuse it. Computers let people communicate with each other in the blink of an eye. This revolutionary way of communication can help build relationships and bonds between people.
People can make video conference, download music, create DVDs and CDs, communicate with people all around the world, and endless things on laptop or desktop computer. Yet despite these similarities, there are a lot of differences between these kinds of computer. Laptops offer some advantages that desktops don’t. First at all is the portability. A laptop is easily to carry anywhere; it is perfect for students, and professionals who require a computer while on the move if they need to give presentations or access internet while away from home.
I believe that with the many technological advances that have been made throughout history computers have made life easier. I believe that computers have changed the world, as a lot of things can now be done through computers. A person can find a computer everywhere – at school, at work, and at home. A lot of a person’s daily activities either involve the use of or depend on information from a computer. I believe the educational environment is one of the most important places where the computer is placed.
With all the advantages of moving to the internet the online community continues to grow. Of course you can still do all your banking at the bank or go to the store to buy stuff, but times are changing. 40% of the Bank of America customers use the Online only account that charges a fee if you want to use the physical bank. With the way things are going our entire society could go completely online. With people relying on the internet for their everyday lives its no wonder that to some people think that internet should be considered a human right.
It will show the world even our worst enemy deserves rights under our constitution and a better quality of life by keeping the Gitmo Detention Center open. If the facility was closed it would let these dangerous masterminds free to pick up where they left off. These same activist want to shut down Guantanamo Bay’s detention center without thinking of the consequences, closing the detention center will put our country’s safety at risk. The methods used in the detention center are legal and help obtain critical information about attacks against the United States. Taking away the freedom to use certain interrogation methods could obstruct the extraction of integral knowledge.
Efforts to fight crime are best served by focusing on the criminal element and not with gun control legislation. Criminals should know that when they break the law there will be swift apprehension, prosecution, and punishment. Research is beginning to prove laws do not reduce the amount of violent crime in our society. Gun laws have only succeeded in disarming the law-abiding and making the criminal's work environment safer (Unfocused 1).
