It is being done in places like England and Korea, where researchers are now world leaders in this technology. I also believe fetuses stem cells should be also allowed, but some may disagree especially those believing in abortion. I have the belief that it is worth the risk and the research could lead to faster cures. The last research from stem cells is adults. Research on adult stem cells has generated a great deal of excitement.
The article explains that this new facelift technique harvests stem cells from a patient's fat and injects them into the face. A minimally invasive procedure that is conducted on an outpatient basis, this particular technique may hold a great deal of promise for individuals who want a fresher, younger appearance but do not want to go under the knife; however, Katie Becker, who is the beauty editor at W Magazine, explains that there is limited understanding of the long-term effects of this procedure. "From my understanding, we have at least 10 more years just to see how this is playing out in patients, to get a better understanding," Becker states. "Botox wears off after a number of months, where what's happening with these stem cell procedures is truly a permanent cosmetic treatment."
I’m here to say that it should be allowed, so that more people like me can be cured. It’s a great advancement for medicine. Other people out there with other diseases that can’t be cured have a better chance of living a normal life. The ban that the Congress put on embryonic stem cell research states, no federal government
I know there are already 3 other approved medications out there but I respect these 2 men for having the courage to test this new medication that is being tested on alcoholics. By them taking this and people studying their results, this can possibly save many lives in the near future or keep families together as well as help people find themselves again. Tom and Adam proved that by taking these medications it helps them and does not give them the urge to consume alcohol. They showed that even though you may take the wrong path, somewhere down the road you can fix it and become who you wanted to
Restrictions on embryonic stem cells (ESC) research should be lifted around the world because the research has made tremendous progress to cure multiple diseases, aid in the recovery of spinal injury, and human ESC being used by scientist were going to be discarded. ESC research restrictions should be lifted as long as obtaining the ESC does not harm the female carrying the embryos. Joannides and Chandran explain that despite ESC’s ability to reproduce into any cell that is needed, Scientists cannot use ESC as a “one size fits all” for every cell type and expect miracles. The ESC cells must be “custom made” into
Kora Wilke Bever Debate 6 November Eugenics is a science that deals with the improvement of heredity qualities. This should be legal because American parents should be able to prevent disabilities in their children. A disability is being deprived of physical, moral or intellectual strength. Eugenics would create a fair and average play field, eliminating disabilities that could be a burden on one’s health—even life. With eugenics legal, Americans would have more room to prosper, reducing the price of medical help in the long run.
Jessa Thomson Professor Stillwell USem 102 CTR 4 February 1, 2011 ToT CTR 4 Summary: This chapter in Trick or Treatment describes the pros and cons of herbal medicine. Many people resort to herbal medicine to treat their different ailments. But some of the treatments cause more harm than good. For example: St. John’s Wort can treat mild to moderate depression, but for someone with severe depression or a mental illness it does no good and could even make symptoms worse. Personal Statement: I liked the tables in the book that showed whether or not the herbs/ natural medicine were shown to have a good effect on what they were supposed to.

Research has proven that neither patients nor doctors are taking unreasonable advantage of the doctor assisted suicide laws in place in Washington and Oregon. As far as the law leading to the deaths of the poor and disadvantaged, this has been proven not to be true; it is just pure speculation. The laws allowing doctors to assist with suicide for the terminally ill will prevent the failed attempts that some physicians are trying to perform at this time. With all of the medical advances in the world today, making it possible for the terminally ill to live much longer, there needs to be an option for the patient. Doctor assisted suicide definitely needs to be legalized in all of the states in America.
Hughes: Our public healthcare system already provides fertility services, even though some people say that fertility is not a health issue. We also pay for people to have cosmetic surgery if they have horrible scars. We pay for it because it improves quality of life. Wired.com: Some ethicists say that non-therapeutic reproductive technologies shouldn’t be used until the industry is better-regulated. Hughes: Fertility clinics and reproductive medicine’s regulatory systems need to be reformed.
