It drives me completely insane when I walk into a house and see a bunch of clutter and disarray.   Yes, I may have a slight case of obsessive compulsive disorder, but at least I know where to find everything I own.   For instance, being an unorganized individual is much more time consuming in the long run, it’s a messy habit, and may also turn people into “pack rats.”   For a start, my mother is not an organized person.   I, on the other hand, am completely opposite.   I try to help her get organized, but to no avail.   I am helping her now that I moved back home, but I get overwhelmed seeing her disorderly little messes.   I believe it is a waste of time and money in the long run to be unorganized.   If my mother would take the extra minute a day to put things in their proper spot, then they wouldn’t get lost in the first place.   Next, an unorganized person has piled up papers or laundry.   Eventually this could lead them to becoming a “pack rat” or worse a “hoarder”.   When I walk into someone’s house and they have laundry from the year “2000”, it drives me a little crazy.   Even though the person might not see themselves as a “pack rat”, more than likely they are.   Having backed up laundry is messy and a time consuming chore to get organized.   For example, one way to tell if a person does not like to give or throw anything away (pack Rat) is to ask them, ”when was the last time you used this particular item or wore this shirt or these old shoes.”   When they say, “I wear them here and there” or hesitate trying to remember the last time they wore or used the item, then I know they have no intentions of parting with this old out of date item.   That is when a person crosses over to being a “pack rat.”   It is very hard to break the habit of disorganization when the person refuses to throw or give anything away.   In addition to becoming a “pack rat”, disorganized people tend to have clutter and junk piles.   They might claim that they know where everything is and like their area...
