Isabella Brauer ACLT-052 October 6th, 2014 Out of Class Assignment Wes and the other Wes Moore are similar in lots of aspects. They grew up in the same kind of neighborhood and they had similar hobbies and friends. The one thing that differs from both of them are their choices. Choices play a big role in society today. Making choices can be a hard decision, you may want to do what you think is best but you may also want to follow what everyone else is doing. In the other Wes Moore's case his choice was to follow his older brother Tony into the world of drug dealing. Sometimes you may not think ahead and get caught up in the midst of it all but in reality you have no idea what you could be getting yourself into. In the poem “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood” the author Robert Frost talks about two roads that are similar but very different. This poem ties in with the Other Wes Moore because it describes the two roads that each Wes had to face and it describes the outcome of each of those roads. One road is good one road is bad, but it is up to you to decide which path you want to take. The other Wes Moore decided to take the wrong path which was filled with regret and doubt while Wes took the good road which led to success and a better future. By taking the road less traveled Wes had made a name for himself and that was to be a leader. Growing up he had a choice. A choice to become a better person or a choice to do what everyone else was doing. This poem has a great impact on myself and Wes because by taking the road that nobody has traveled he has made all the difference and that is what he had wanted all along. The other Wes Moore had a choice also. To go down the right path or the wrong path. If Wes hadn't looked up to his older brother Tony I believe that he wouldn't have gotten into the lifestyle that he had stumbled upon. Nowadays kids look up
