It shows Christians that they should help everyone who is in need, leaving no one behind. Jesus also has the Commandment of Love, ‘you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart ... You shall love your neighbour as yourself’. The Commandments of Love underpins the relationship between God and his believers. The Ten Commandments are a list of religious rules given to the people of Israel by God. It outlines the behaviours that are not allowed personally or not to be tolerated in others.
One of God’s greatest desires is to have relationship with His creation, man. He wants nothing more than to be loved and believed. Our love and belief is demonstrated through worship and godly lifestyle. Many people have a form of worship, but with no substance or true understanding of what it is all about. Many minimizes worship simply as the singing of songs, or leaving it up to the worship team to “set the atmosphere”, without any participation from the congregation.
“Outside of assurance of personal conversion to Christ, no other spiritual conviction will help a pastor in his journey more than a firm conviction that God has called him to preach. The pastorate is not so much a profession as it is a calling.” Chaplains fill a vital role in caring the souls of those they serve, and their personal conviction of that will carry them through when the work is
For example, Mark 12:31 states, “ …’You shall love your neighbor as yourself,’” as Jesus’ proclamation of human relationships with one another and God. The biblical worldview acknowledges that God created man in His own image. Therefore, man should also value human relationships that are similar to their own valuation of God. This realization is vital to the biblical worldview. Otherwise, self-serving human relationships stand in our way of becoming one with Jesus Christ and go against the Word of
Humans lack true worship for a few reasons. People forget the character of God. Tozer said “Every glimpse that is given us of heaven and of God’s created being is always a glimpse of worship and rejoicing and praise because God is who he is.” He mentions materialism and how man is too attached to this
He states that it is either Christianity went wrong or our instincts went bad. He believes that our instincts have gone wrong. He goes on to say that we have been lied to and that our sexual desires is in the same state of any of our other natural desires and if we stop hiding it then things will be alright. Many people think that Christian Chastity is impossible, but when one really puts there mind to it they will be surprised at what they can overcome. Lewis then goes on to say that we cannot simply do it on our own strength but to go to God for our strength.
Humphrey, they discuss facts and their beliefs on gay marriage. Dematteis goes more into depth about the issues in states, Politically, Presidential, Religion, and Demographics on same sex marriage, whereas Humphrey discusses more about the Religion view of same sex marriage. He strongly believes Religion depicts the view on same sex marriage, he believes we should believe what god believes, and what god believes is marriage is the love and commitment between two people of the opposite sex. Dematteis has views from all different perspectives, and he believes no one should judge anyone based on what gender he or she loves. Our focus as believers, for ourselves, is to love and worship God, to uplift Him in everything we do, to glorify Him in our lives, to love those around us, to be a light in a dark world, and to share God’s love with everyone around us. It ultimately comes back to us serving God and pleasing Him (Crabb, 1977, p. 21). As Psalm 144:15 states, “Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord”. Rather than seeking happiness, one should focus their efforts on seeking God. From there, true happiness will emerge.
At least, if someone did, that person never got enough support to make any type of change. Their system of justice came directly from their religion. Therefore, the people had to deal with laws that were rather strict and favored certain members of society more than others. Had the people questioned this system, they could have made a code that was fair to all and not as harsh. Unfortunately, the people of Mesopotamia never challenged their way of thinking and had to deal with the harshness of the Code.
In Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, Sometimes it takes a certain situation or problem to occur in life, that makes an individual realize what really matters in life. A man who was completely innocent, offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others and their loved ones. There is nothing in the world so wonderful as to love and be loved; there is nothing as devastating as losing a loved one. A relationship that has turned sour is very difficult, both emotionally and mentally. A failing relationship can take away the energy to move forward in life.
