The Most Influential Person in My Life Everyone has that one person to whom they look up to. That one person that has been an influence in their lives. To some, that person may be a celebrity, a friend, or even a sibling. The person that has been the most influential in my life is my mother, Brenda Laws. My mother is a very strong, independent, and religious woman, and she has taught me to become the woman I am today. My mother is a very strong and independent woman. She is also beautiful, kind hearted, and hardworking. My mother raised me and my four siblings by herself. She had to work two jobs to support her family. In spite of the hardships and difficulties, she always looked at the positive in things. When times got hard, she somehow kept a smile on her face. When I think back on all that she had to go through while raising us, I am truly amazed. I could never understand how she did it all by herself; however, she managed to keep her family together. To her, family was the most important thing in her life, and that’s why my mother is very important to me. With my mother coming from a very religious family, she became a very religious woman, and made sure that her children knew God as well. I can remember back when I was a little girl, my mother made us attend all church activities. Not only did we go to church services, we also attended Sunday school, Bible school, Bible study, and Revivals. She even made me sing in the choir. She pushed me to be a devoted Christian. In doing so, she has helped me become a better person in many ways. I have grown to be loving, respectful, and polite. I have two children myself, and now I make sure that they are raised in church also. My mother has taught me to become the woman I am today. She has influenced me in all aspects of my life.
