I know that honesty means to behave in a fair and straightforward manor, to be honorable and to have integrity. This is why I rely on my integrity to give me strength. I cannot behave honestly without knowing and having integrity. The two are one in the same or as I believe you cannot have one without the other. Openness is ones willingness or readiness to receive and to be open to new ideas or behaviors.
During my military career, I have come to learn that you are never truly alone and there is always somebody watching you, even if you don’t see them. Integrity is being able to admit that you have made a mistake. It also consists of being trustworthy and reliable even when the right thing isn’t exactly the easiest or most common thing to do. Integrity tells a lot about who you are and what kind of soldier you will be. Every soldier should be persistent in keeping their integrity impeccable and unblemished.
Loyalty: - I believe in faithfulness or a devotion to a person, country, group, or cause Respect: - one of the most important things for me is to treat other as I wish to be treated. Integrity: - I believe the better of a person I am, the better an image I present. Honesty: - I believe the more honest I am, the more trustworthy I become. Responsible: - I must be responsible in life so that others can rely on me. Responsibility means doing the best I can to honor and fulfill my obligations and promises.
By working with each other and completing their duty’s they are gaining trust, while becoming very loyal towards each other. Duty is to fulfill your obligations. Not just completing your work at the minimum standard but to always do your best. Taking the initiative to do things is a great example of fulfilling your duties. Completing your duty also prevents illegal orders because leaders have no choice but to do what is right.
Rogers believes that psychologically healthy people enjoy life to the fullest. Abraham Maslow feels that there is a hierarchy of needs and one’s needs must be met in that order. From top to bottom the needs include: basic needs, safety needs, love and belongingness needs, achievement needs, and self-actualization. There are several strengths to the Humanistic Theory. Some find this theory to be valid; Maslow and others see the individual as very powerful.
IV. Conclusion You must set an example for others and show them you have good personal ethics by letting them see you have character and integrity. A person’s actions speak volumes so remember to do, as you would have others to
Aristotle also suggests happiness conforms to goodness of virtue (Kucukuysal and Beyhan, 2011). To be happy and good, one must make the right choices. Virtue is taught and learned. The ability to define happiness and decide what is virtuous is an individual choice based upon life teachings and experience. In order to make someone else happy, you must be happy with yourself.
Appearance plays a big part in regards to professionalism. Maintaining a state of professionalism means includes exhibiting respect to your colleagues and those who around you. One who is a professional allows others to contribute to the project on hand, and being humble. Past and present action will not only affect the outcome, but the journey. One must remain true to themselves as well as their profession.
1) Integrity: They say what they believe, and they do what they say. They are trusted because they are trustworthy. 2) Team: One for all, and all for one! They believe in a common purpose, common culture, and common goals. 3) Continuous Improvement: Their motto is never stand still never be satisfied.
A good leader is a leader with character. Having such characteristics such as being morally excellent, well-behaved, being proper and virtuous could obviously be characteristics of a good leader. Other characteristics of a good leader include, being unspoiled, fresh, healthy, and being excellent in degree or quality. What would you consider traits of a good leader with character? Some traits that I consider of a good leader with character include good natured, good humored, and good will.
