Roe v. Wade: Protecting a Woman's Right to Choose. New York: Chelsea House, 2007. Print. I consulted this source because it gave me information about why women want abortions and also gave me info about the pro-choice opinion. I used this in my 1st and 2nd guiding
Samantha Glandon Sara Barski English 121 Responding to Ellen Goodman’s “Out of the Picture on the Abortion Ban” Ellen Goodman wrote an article “Out of the Picture on the Abortion Ban.” She focuses on: a picture of Bush signing the ban among men, the fact that he doesn’t think that young women aren’t conscious of this debate, and that the ban makes it seem like women can’t make moral decisions. In her article she is frustrated by a picture of George Bush signing a partial birth abortion ban among men. Since the issue is mainly about women she doesn’t understand why there are no women in this picture. What gives them the right to decide what a woman can do with her own body? She believes that women should have the choice whether
The reason that a company has aims and objectives is so that they have goals to achieve because it is important that all businesses have a plan to follow. The purpose of a mission statement is to outline a businesses main aims and clearly identify the purpose of the organisation to all of it's stakeholders. All of the above methods (missions, aims and objectives) are all forms of strategic planning. The strategic planning process of an organisation is the process through which all the major plans for the company are created. The aims of a company are strategic because they are there as steps to be the best that they can be and are ways in which the company can achieve what they set out to do.
With over 90 years of service and over 800 different locations around the US, Planned Parenthood is the popular choice for individuals when it comes to sexual heath care. Planned Parenthood strives to prevent unintended pregnancies, improve sexual health, and inform individuals to make informed decisions. Planned Parenthood originated in Brooklyn, New York in 1921 by Margaret Sanger as United States first birth control clinic. It was originally known as American Birth Control League. Since 1942, the clinic has changed its name and is now know as Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
Colin Powell English Comp 101 September 21, 2010 It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Abortion Views Protests disrupt the peace, stop business as usual, and cause disquiet. Protesters in effect withdraw their consent to the way things are. If the people who protest are poor, unemployed, or seemingly without power, when organized together they can become a force that troubles the powerful, or in our country our democratic government, causing them to hopefully change the laws. When the powerful are inconvenienced by sit-ins, strikes, marches, and occupations, they will often negotiate to restore order and their own peace and privileges. In this way the powerless often wrestle concessions from the powerful.

Budget Cuts On Planned Parenthood The clock is ticking for Congress to pass a budget and decide whether to bar all federal funding for Planned Parenthood. The anti-choice members of Congress who voted to cut fundings for women’s health were crystal clear about their goals: shut down every Planned Parenthood health center in the country. Now it’s up to the Senate to stop this attack on womens health. Planned Parenthood is a non-profit organization that has provided affordable contraception, medical services and abortions to women for the past 90 years (Applebaum). The attempt to defund Planned Parenthood is an attempt to take away womens access to healthcare in neighborhoods all across the country.
Health care should be something that all Americans can afford and have the privilege of having for not only themselves but for their families as well. Currently the government and state only provides health coverage for children and pregnant women, which is a good start, but there are also others who are lacking coverage and who could use the assistance for a short time. As stated earlier the public funds are paying for 46 percent of our health care expenditures which is almost double what it was in 1960, From the trends that we are already seeing I think that a lot of health care is going to be funded by public funds but private is right on up there in numbers. I think that if health care companies can lower their rates to something that is more affordable to the lower income families then the government or state funded programs would not be used as much as they are right now and this would help in lowering costs everywhere and this would help out the economy and help bail out our nation as a whole from the debt we are currently
With the continued rise of teen pregnancy, education and proper health care is a necessity. This agency provides both and has already prevented almost half a million unintended pregnancies. As a postpartum nurse I see and care for lots of patients that have received care from Planned Parenthood. Many of these patients would not have had prenatal care had they not received care from Planned Parenthood. I had one teen mother tell me that she was terrified to tell her parents about her pregnancy.
