Parapsychology is a field of study concerned with the investigation of evidence for paranormal psychological phenomena (as telepathy, clairvoyance, and psychogenesis) (Webster). In 2009 “The Men Who Stare at Goats” was released and with that a controversial issue of psych wars was released as well. It came to the public’s attention that the mind was a powerful thing and that maybe; just maybe the mind could do more than we imagined. Things such as the “Death Touch” came into question and the idea that people could be controlled with the mind, things such as life could even be controlled. Does this “Death Touch” even exist and can it even be used? After this movie came out people that had been hired in the army magically stared appearing out of nowhere and claimed to be in a special part of the army that government funded specifically used of these psych wars. Taking the time even try to kill a goat with pure energy takes too much unnecessary effort. The specific reason behind the death touch is to use less weapons and to fight the most powerful weapon we own which is our mind. There are two stands the skeptics and the people that whole heartedly believe that this happened. The truth is that we will never know, we will never know until the government confirms that they have a branch specifically for that. Until the government says they will rather use the mind to kill than weapons we will just have to stick to the old fashioned away, and frankly wouldn’t it just be easier to take out a gun and kill the damn
