Friends are very important and they can help you find the significance of life by helping you to rise above challenges and bring happiness into your life. According to Aristotle, "a friend is a single soul dwelling in two bodies." The special thing about friendship is that they have the capability of giving advice, talking through problems or mentally and physically helping you. Cher says in one of her songs "I can trust my friends. These people which are friends encourage me to grow." In tough times, friends help you to see things from a different perspective which allows you to take time to reflect on the situation. This allows you to find another way to prevail over your trying times. This verse was found in the in the Bible, book of Proverbs "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend's countenance. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up." This supports the position that friends do help physically, for instance if you fall the other can help you up. John Lennon says "I get by with a little help from my friends." Friends help you through good and bad times and they do it through love. Your friends are your family and they love and care about you. They care about you and how you feel, that is what makes them a true friend. You might have given up on believing in yourself but your friends haven’t, they will always believe in you.
