Though the story you get the idea that his in love with this girl and is on his way there, he seems nice, shows good manners and show a general Interest in the People he talks too. And then he got to the Dark alley to meet his girl Norma, he suddenly changed character cause then he saw her, coming towards him from a courtyard he first said “Norma” and walked faster towards the girl, she smiled at him, but the smile slowly faded away as he came closer. The face then started blurring and he saw it was not Norma, “I brought you flower” she looked at them for a moment, Smiled and handed them back “Thank you, but you’re mistaken” “My name is-““Norma” he whispered and pulled a Hammer from his coat. “They’re for you Norma … it was always for you … all for you” and then he hit her multiple times with the hammer. From the part above, I have assumed that he chooses
He also chose to talk about the pink ribbons in Faith’s cap, to show her as an innocent girl; because the pink ribbons symbolise innocence as they are worn by little girls. Similarly, in “The Cask of Amontillado”, Edgar Allan Poe depicts Fortunato as a vulnerable, immature and an innocent man; when Montresor meets him at the carnival, he describes him as such, “He accosted me with excessive warmth, for he had been drinking much. The man wore motley. He had on a tight-fitting parti-striped dress and his head was surmounted by the conical cap and bells” (Poe 1). Poe portrays Fortunato as a vulnerable man because he is drunk throughout the story; he also portrays him as an innocent and an immature man, because he is dressed like a
Firestorm By: David Klass In the book firestorm, the author, David Klass, did a good job on making the book seem like the book is non-fiction instead of it actually being fiction. (In chapter one), Klass did a good job of making the story start out like a typical story would start out as. At a normal high school football game on a normal night. Also for example, (in chapter three), the author makes the book sound like it is happening on the Hudson River in New York. The author says “New Jersey to my right, Manhattan to my left”.
Reading novels or just merely inheriting information through blogs and websites are ok but when you touch basis with people on a personal face to face basis the connection you receive and the closeness to truth is exhilarating and grabs you more. I’m pretty sure that if I interviewed different individual people my answer and definition for happiness would
To love someone, one must let that person be who they truly are and love will come natural. “Janie mounted the stairs with her lamp. The light in her hand was like a spark of sun-stuff washing her face in fire” (Chp.20). Hurston Symbolizes the lamp as light hope and despair in a new journey for Janie who has finally found herself on the path to a happier life. Tea Cake has demonstrated throughout the novel that he is a gentlemen, loving a woman for who she truly is.
He tells Romeo the good and bad uses for herbs. Friar Laurence’s skills at mixing herbs become very important later on in the play. When Friar Laurence is in his garden, Romeo tells him that he loves Juliet and wants to marry her. Friar is surprised that he forgot about Rosaline so fast. Rosaline was Romeo’s other lover who rejected him.

Another reference to age is on page 338 and 339, when Florentino is on a boat with Fermina and she is described as having a “withered neck” and “hips with their decaying bones, her thighs with their aging veins.” This is the opposite to the previous passage as we are now being shown Florentino with a much older woman who is nearer to him in age. This therefore characterizes him as having a diverse love for women as he does not mind either young or older women as he finds pleasure in the company of those women. In the extract with America, Florentino seems to enjoy the fact that she is innocent and has not had many experiences in her life and he takes advantage of this by spending “Saturdays at the circus, Sundays in the park with ice cream and childish late afternoons, and he won her confidence” (page 272). Marquez is illustrating how Florentino is trying to seduce
