Neuropathy prevented Ian seeing where his body was which is a petrifying feeling; literally Ian was “The Man who Lost His Body”. It took a year for Ian to stand up safely and six months to put on his sock, this sensory process was long and tedious. This documentary taught me how we are fortunate to have sensory abilities; most people take it for granted because it’s natural. It was unbelievable how Ian recovered from this illness. The doctors told him that he will be in the wheel chair for the rest of his life but he was determined to regain his strength and movement.

At this early age, Gogol does not understand his Bengali heritage gives a pet name and a good name.

i Released earlier this year, Michel Gondry’s Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind (2004) is indisputably a meditation on memory’s role in love and love lost. Eternal Sunshine surrealistically documents the attempt of one man, Joel Barrish, with the help of a futuristic medical procedure, to literally erase all the memories of his exgirlfriend from his mind, only to regret the decision once the procedure begins taking effect. Eternal Sunshine seems to continue a long line of films and other cultural documents in recent years consumed with memory. “After more than a decade of intense public and academic discussions of the uses and abuses of memory,” Andreas Huyssen recently wrote, “many may feel the topic has been exhausted. Memory fatigue has set in.”ii[2] Yet, Eternal Sunshine may also allow us a way out of this postmodern mood—the vague affect that, even while conceding that the “act of remembering is always in and of the present,”iii[3] even while acknowledging, embracing (why not?
Abigail Zuger deduced that it was due to the fact that he was not taking a medication she prescribed, a white pill that was making the patient feel ill by ingestion. Abigail Zuger knew from the way the patient was discussing the medication that he had probably not taken one in some time. She concluded that since the patient had probably not been taking the medication he was feeling nauseated and explains to the patient that if he does not start taking the medication he could end up in the hospital. The patient then leaves leaving his prescription for the white pills on the table. The patient then sees Dr. Zuger again after a month and he felt a lot better.

In February 2006, Emily Jerry, a two-year old child was at a Cleveland hospital to complete her last series of chemotherapy treatment. Her doctor ordered intravenous chemotherapy solution that was filled incorrectly by a pharmacy technician. The prescription called for 1% saline; however, a lethal amount of 23% saline was given instead, causing her to slip into a coma resulting in death. Eric Cropp, who was the supervising pharmacist signed off on the technician’s work despite her informing him that the mixture did not look right; nonetheless, he approved it. The pharmacy was so busy that day and short staffed, which led to a preventable fatal error that changed Eric’s whole life in a matter of seconds.
When people are very sick and have to lay in bed for months without showing a bit of progress, as in the majority of the cancer cases, they are in agony.“The Doctor believed that life must be extended as long they have the means and knowledge to do it” (Huttmann 114). This was a very scientific method of thinking. Doctors did not consider the emotional impact of the disease on the patient and the family members. Physicians are supposed to know when a person can have a chance to recuperate from sickness. In Macs case, the Doctor did not get emotionally involved and chose to endlessly approve resuscitation efforts.
Simply he was a care-free and self indulged man who didn’t care about anything in the world but himself. But this slowly changed as the relationship deepened and lead to Will going up on stage to sing with Marcus. This film is about two boys; Will and Marcus. Will is a 38 year old ‘boy’ who has everything he wants, acts like a kid and lives a life of luxury whereas Marcus is an actual boy in terms of age, he is 12 years old, but he is a little socially inept and awkward, not fitting very well at school. Will going up on stage to sing with Marcus surprised me because before the whole relationship between Marcus and Will happened, Will used to care about nothing, absolutely nothing but himself.
