King Cobra Classification: The king cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake with a length of 5.6m. Aggressive snake and its length and size make it look amazing. The King Cobra snake is also perhaps the most dangerous snake in the world where humans are concerned. Description: The colors of the king cobra include green, brown, yellow and black, with a lighter white or yellow throat region. The king cobra has a life span of 20 years. The King Cobra can lift a third of its body off the ground. Male King Cobras are longer and weigh more than female King Cobras. This is very unusual since in most snake species, the male is smaller than the female. Habitat: They usually live near streams and forests. They can also be found in swamps. King cobras are located throughout Southeast Asia. They can be found in parts of India, China, Malaysia and Indonesia. Movement: The King Cobra slithers around to move in a zigzag motion to move from one place to another. Feeding Habitats: The king cobra normally eats cold blooded animals, especially other snakes. The snakes eaten by the king cobra are mostly the larger harmless species like rat snakes, and pythons up to 10 feet in length.
