race at war and home- vietnam America has been an ever-changing country, ever since it was founded by its forefathers hundreds of years ago. The idea of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness has inspired millions to immigrate to this land in an attempt to give themselves and their families the best life they could possibly peruse. But with these rights and freedoms come a price, and at times that price can be death. War has always been a scary topic for Americans, as it involves many uncertainties. Just imagine being forced to say goodbye to a loved one as he or she is being shipped off to war, not knowing if you will ever see them again. This uncertainty is filled with much grief, which sometimes abounds to anger. There were many mixed emotions for the ones left behind during the Vietnam War. In the…show more content…
