As a mother Rosemary is unconventional wanting to travel and explore instead of committing to the role of a typical housewife. It is clear that she loves her son very much, but her well-meaning decisions can prove destructive.

Chris was always critical of his parents and their lifestyle, but that criticism turned to outright anger when Chris learned that his father had lived a double life with another family for a time. A recurrent theme in Chris' journal was a search for "truth", and he linked that search to the lack of truth he perceived in his family life. After graduating from college Chris felt the need to flee from his family and their expectations in order to seek the truth that he felt he had never experienced. Fences are used to either keep things and people out or in. Troy Maxon built many personal fences and committed many actions to do just that. He has spent the later part of his life trying to support his family and make sure that he fulfills his responsibility as the man of the house, a far cry from what he had in his own abusive childhood. All of the obstacles he faced in his past life severely impact the way he handles relationships and situations in the present.
Dad’s in Heaven with Nixon is a documentary directed by Tom Murray, who chronicles the struggles of his own family. His complex story of his brother with autism captures his mother’s strength and everlasting belief in her son as well as his father’s inability to accept his son’s disability. As the story develops, through old family films and interviews, the revelation of bipolar disorder within the family takes the stage. Surrounded by complicated issues, his brother with autism demonstrates victory over his disability by living on his own, working 2 jobs and establishing a career in art. But more than anything, his ability to find joy in the simple things in life was just plain beautiful.

When Holden explains that his broth Allie died, this showed the reader that Holden has to possess a sense of maturity that kids alike wouldn’t understand. My Actions, Your Consequences In the play “Fences”, the character Troy is a very interesting one. Troy is a fifty-three year old man with a powerful love for his wife, Rose, and tough love for his son Cory. Troy doesn't always listen to people, he does what he believes is right at the moment to prevent any bad things from happening or any problems to occur. He just wants his family to live a practical and responsible life. Troy affects everyone's life with his choices, his mind set and past experiences in life which causes a negative affect on them while at the same time it matures them to grow up.
