In Genesis, evil was punished for deceiving Adam and Eve. The serpent manipulated Adam and Eve and changed Gods words. Since there was no good it was an unbalanced world. In Iroquois, there was a balanced world between good and evil. Sapling was the good one, the one that did everything just as should, said what he meant, and meant what he said.
This evidence is consistent with Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Paul eluded to this when he said that God’s invisible qualities, eternal power, and divine nature is clearly seen, being understood by what has been made, so that men are without excuse (Rom.1:20). Therefore, we are to worship the Creator and not the creation (1:25). But fallen man do not give God the honor and glory for all the beauty and order He designed in His wonderful universe He created.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8). “Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.” (Romans 5:18) The execution of Aslan plays out much like the cruxification of Jesus. Aslan, just like Jesus, is taunted and humiliated, even spit upon. His mane is shaved, symbolizing the stripping away of this power which was also symbolic of strength for Samson in the Old Testament. He is bound and killed.
However he had a tragic flaw but him confessing leads up to his tragic death that causes the audience to feel sympathy. John Proctor’s downfall is initiated by a human flaw which was his inability to control and resist his desire. When his wife Elizabeth got sick began to catch feelings for Abigail. When John Proctor stated “but I will cut off my hand before I’ll ever reach out for you” (page 15, act one) he shows how at one point he was having an affair behind his wife back and this lead up to all the madness in the town of Salem. When Abigail was talking to Proctor she says “She is telling lies to about me!
Evil to depict the differences of Grendel and the humans. Another example of this theme from Beowulf is, “A prince of the Geats, had killed Grendel, Ending the grief, the sorrow, the suffering Forced on Hrothgar’s helpless people By a bloodthirsty fiend” (Beowulf, Canto 12 Lines 830-833). This quote emphasizes the distinct contrast of good and evil in Beowulf. The author characterizes Beowulf as an admirable hero, and a clear-cut “good guy” in the story. Conversely, the author describes Grendel as a
If God is good, fully holy, and all-powerful, then why does Heallow evil and sin to be in the world? God created mankind with free will, which created the opportunity for disobedience against Him. To disobey of disbelieve anything in the Holy Bible is the same as disobeying or disbelieving God Himself, because all the words in Scripture, or God’s Law, are His words. Therefore when man disobeys the commands that God has set in place for him, he is sinning, and should be punished. Even though God is fully good, He created man who is fully sinful and He took on the sins of man by the atonement of Jesus Christ, His one and only son, to show His holiness and glory.
There is a relatively strong connection to God in this book and many people during this time period believed in God. I bring this up because it was believed that God is the supreme creator of all things including the human race. It would therefore be horrendously inconceivable to challenge God and attempt to do something that would show that a mortal can have power equal to that of God. Next, regardless of how an individual comes into being it the duty of the creator to be there to nurture and care for the creature they have brought into the world. The world is a cruel place, even to those who are normal, but to someone who is different, as we see in the book, there
midterm Family The book "Family" has reflected the history of slavery in America. In the book, Clora is a mother of six children with a slave master, in which her three children and adult survivors. Turtle reminds all the beings in the world that God on a level that is so deep that they cannot comprehend connects them. When humans come into existence and begin to cause destruction, the entire earth reasons with the people and shows them how God is everywhere and is everything. If it weren’t for Old Turtle who first reasoned with the earth before humans, the earth wouldn't have reasoned with the humans. This would have lead to the humans destroying the world. The only way to survive and achieve peace is to love and treat all with appreciation and respect.
In the end of the play we view Macbeth as a tyrant, a traitor and a bloody butcher because of the murder of King Duncan, and the chaos he imposed on Scotland. However, Macbeth did have honorable qualities within him, but because he was turned into an evil character from the circumstances the witches, his wife and his country put him in we sympathize with him to the extent of treating him as a tragic hero; an honorable, and important figure who has inherent weaknesses in his character which brings about his tragic end. Macbeth s honorable character can be seen by his loving, loyal and respectful attitude towards those around him. His loyalty is demonstrated from his inspirational speech after his appointment as the Thane of Cawdor: Macbeth:
