The interview process here is rigorous which consists of a written test and is further accompanied by a personal interview. This however serves as a benefit for the company which helps it to choose the best candidate with maximum capabilities. The medium used for communication here is mainly print and online. These served as reference for them which was later framed into a complete article. There were few Q&A work as well in which I answered few questions for my colleague. . I got an idea of how to deal with controversial topics and what are the do’s and don’ts one should keep in mind while writing for it. One is definitely free to express his/her opinion on anything but these topics needed to be dealt with real sensitivity. Other things included docketing and preparing ad rate which was done usually at the end of the month to calculate the coverage rate given to a brand in the media. This was something that was completely new to me. This included math and one had to be careful while doing this as even a minor mistake might get the client upset. Since the company was being paid to publish articles about their client, it ought to serve their clients right for the amount paid. Lexicon taught me the efficacy to meeting deadlines and how much it mattered while working for a company. I got to know how strict they were regarding their deadline which is definitely a good thing. This in a way ensures speedy delivery and successful communication. Also, there was a strict vigilance on the office timings. They made sure that everyone followed the set time.
