Importance of Productivity to myself Productivity is really important to a persons’ life. According to my definition what I consider productivity in my life is all about meeting deadlines through adding value to the activities performed, by investing adequate time and effort both mental and physical to each activity. In other words, productivity in everyday life has to be in a line with our everyday tasks in a more meaningful manner, which is both sequential and organized so that we do not end up in messing up all the day to day activities. The most common excuse of people in my age is that not having adequate time to complete the tasks they have assigned with. Those kinds of problems arise due to unproductivity. One thing I always asks from myself is that, we have the same amount of time as Bill Gates, Mark Suckerburg and Albert Einstein so why is that these people has created history and why is that people like us has to die without doing anything worthwhile. The answer is fruitful utilization of time and directing their talents through the correct paths which in brief is called productivity. But being productive does not mean behaving robotically. A robot may be 100% effective but not necessarily productive at the same time. As we all know productivity is not just making outputs from the inputs. There is no point in making billions of units which only thousand can be utilized while the rest discarded. Likewise productivity in our lives should not only be result oriented, but also it has to be doing more things that we previously did and bringing out perfection in the tasks we performed. The way we can obtain productivity in our life is prioritizing activities and giving more time and attention to the most important activities while eliminating most repetitive tasks.
