Ramapo College Essay: One of Ramapo’s goals is to increase your capacity for learning and to teach you to think “outside the box”. Describe one experience that has had a significant impact on your intellectual development. As a student who attempts to think “outside of the box” on a regular basis I believe there are many ways Ramapo College can increase my capacity for learning. Throughout my high school experience I have explored many different ways to be more creative. One effective method for me is playing music while writing essays for English.

Fitness training method: The perfect fitness training method for this specific component of fitness would be core stability training. Core stability training trains and builds core, muscles, which are lower and upper back muscles. This type of training helps to maintain body balanced. (M2/D1) Evaluate one method of training, for all components of fitness There is only one method of training, which involves all components of fitness, and trains all body parts.
The two big options are often certain sports programs, or the music and arts programs. Sports tends to bring in more money to the school, so many schools have kept them and completely done away with their music and arts programs. But why? Sports may bring in money, but music can be so much more beneficial to each individual student. Music has been shown to help cognitive growth, help students understand other subjects such as math and language, and teach very important life lessons.

Education in music was once regarded as the single most important thing a person could ever learn. Philosophers from every corner of the globe agreed upon this matter and felt that music was too important to be discarded, Studies show that music can positively affect test scores and improve spatial reasoning skills. Music is arguably the greatest defining trait when it comes to culture. If it were to be removed from the standard curriculum, it would signify the death of culture.
The work tells a story about and it goes into great detail and makes it very clear through precise graceful movement each part of the story that is taking place at the moment. Not only being able to perform but being able to execute it to its full potential is beyond words. I naturally reflect a lot not only about steps but about what else is given to us as a viewer that the artist wanted us to see but didn’t point out directly. All I can think about is the long hours of rehearsal and constant repetition. When you are around people who are all feeling the exhaustion that everyone else is feeling can you
Lastly, art serves as a language of expression for all individuals. Art allows students to be creative in any way they chose, whether it be through dance, art, poetry or song; students are able to show their unique talents. Art also helps children relate to their peers and encourage acceptance. Students can work together to create a mural or the scenery for a classroom play. The most important thing to remember about art is that any child can participate and there is no right or wrong answer to an assignment.
Having these basic fundamentals down allows the musician to more accurately play the music and sight read better. Throughout high school, I developed these skills until it didn’t take much thought for me to play my major scales up and down full range, then blast through my chromatic scale. I even practiced all forty-eight minor scales. It was the combination of learning to read music as well as performing it
Movement is thought to be life’s force. It starts in the womb and ends at death. People learn through movement. As curiosity increases we develop and fine tune our skills. We learn through exercise how to control our movements through repetition and balance.
