Connor Smale Frankenstein Omnibus 111 9/4/12 Family is essential. It is one of the most important things in life. Your family has a huge impact on how you are going to turn out. In some cases family is the only thing people have. In the creatures situation he has no real family, he feels lost and lonely and only seeking human compassion. The problem is that people are too quick to judge the creature. Whenever he tried to make friends it never ended well and people only look at him as a monster. In chapter 16 the creature asks Victor to make him a mate. The creature was very lonely and wanted compassion. He promised that if Victor created him a mate that he would move to South Africa with her where they could live at peace. When Victor was almost done creating the mate he started to have second thoughts. He was worried that maybe the creature would mate and create an entire race of monsters. At the last minute victor decided to destroy the mate and dump it in the lake. The creature was devastated by this and had immense hatred for Victor. The creature wanted revenge so on the day of victors wedding he killed his soon to be wife. This made Victor understand how the creature felt, but he did not care he wanted the same revenge on the creature and swore to find and destroy the creature. In my opinion Victor should have created a mate for Frankenstein. It was unfair to the creature to let him be alone. There were some risks for Victor if he was going to create a mate but it would be well worth
