Imagine going to a famous museum to finally see a famous artifact in person! You later find out you won’t get to see the artifact because it never came back to where it was found. Disappointed and bummed out you promptly go home and debate whether it should be returned to where it came from or not. Situations like this are one of the many reasons why artifacts should be returned to their regions of origin. This raises the question around the world, should artifacts be returned to their original start of origin? Many people debate if it’s necessary for artifacts to be relocated back home. Obviously you would feel upset or angered by their actions. The morally correct thing to do would be to return the item without hesitation. This is how many people feel about their unique artifacts being kept around the world. Although many can not begin to think of someone being unwilling to return an artifact, it happens all the time. Debates over artifacts like in passage one paragraph three over the marbles occur. A individual with morals or even humanity will understand this isn’t how it should be. Owners have a right to receive their lost artifacts even if it’s many years later, it’s simply the right thing to do. The mindset goes with the belief of the finder of a object being able to keep the object for themself. This childish way of thinking leads to greater issues among museums and other countries. When you find something it doesn’t automatically mean you are entitled to keep the item. The business portion deals with the loss of customers and money for a museum. Museums are losing customers after the return of artifacts. The prime example for this is the Aideon Museum and Getty Villa in passage three and paragraph 22. Although the interest of business for these museums are at stake, compared to an entire culture being destroyed the stakes at hand are incomparable.
