Some of the common use of World Wide Web is to gain knowledge in research. When students are doing their home works, instead of going to the library and spending a little more time, they just need to go in front of the computer and search for the topic that they are researching on. Using the internet as a learning resource is somehow more efficient than books when it comes to time. But when it comes to reliability, books are still the best options for us to research since anybody can write, edit, and publish an article on the Web. Internet helped us to communicate with the ones we loved especially those who are far from us.
Customers can contact us by email, Mobile phone and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Market research will also help to compete with our sportswear shops online such as sports direct, JD sports and JJB. We could make our website better and offer deals which other sports shops online don’t offer. Once customers start shopping online we can offer new deals to attract new customers and also this could spread good ‘word of mouth.’ We will research our competitors websites to establish prices, merchandise and internet technology we are up against such as easier and faster checkout systems. We will also be able to establish credit terms and incentives the competitors are offering.
Tevin Hutchinson 11/10/2012 English 102 Technology plays a huge role in our everyday life. I do believe that technology has made our lives easier, but it also has made us more dependent on the technology itself. When using the internet for a dictionary you could easily get distracted. Anyone can put anything on the internet, so what you find might not be accurate. Most people find that looking things up on the internet is distracting because you are already on the web so why not check YouTube for a funny video, or update your status on the social network.
I would recommend that we utilize all three social platforms and have them work together in favor of the business. Each platform, Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook can offer exposure to a different market. Recommendation: Offer special coupons and promotions on the social platforms. This will allow the brand to keep our consumers involved and returning to our store. It will also let us track what social platforms are being used the most, therefore enabling us to tailor our deals to our consumers.
For example, you can debate with each other about USA`s economic and what are some things the society can do to fix it. Communicating with your friends erase the timorous thoughts of expressing your ideas and point of views. In the realm of education, there is a variety of ways people can learn. Many people view learning as a painful hardship; however, watching T.V, surfing on internet, and communication with your friends can ease the pain. These resources can change your perspectives, and it can make learning very enjoyable and
What piece of technology do you consider the most important in your life? A piece of technology that I think is the most important in my life would be the internet. I think the internet is the most important because I could basically look up anything I want to know and I would find the answer to what I was looking for. I also think it’s the most important because in a matter of seconds we can now communicate with people around the world, whether for important business matters or just talking to friends. The Internet is very useful.
With all the new ways to communicate via the internet, it has become easier to reach out to those who might not be helped otherwise. Online tutoring, support groups, and colleges being able to promote education are all newer ways to reach out to America’s youth and convince them to stay in school. In my own situation, I was able to use the internet for better research abilities for looking into colleges, and I had better resources to help with the application process and applying for financial aid. Social media is a great way to reach out to youth in
Kirsten Laman ENGL 1301-61507 Professor Jackson 30 October 2014 Cognitive Effects of the Internet The book The Shallows by Nicholas Carr states that the introduction of the internet into society has had a profound effect on our culture. In other words, the internet has affected the way people think, read, and remember. The rapid access to tons of information has also affected people’s behavior making them less patient and less productive. According to Carr, “The Net commands our attention with far greater insistency than our television, or radio or morning newspaper ever did” (117). In today’s world, the internet has become essential to work, school and entertainment.
This is fun for the students to do, and they can post short stories, poems, class homework, and many personally created activities. The internet can also give teachers a chance to post websites that will give students their grades, homework, study guides, and necessary information for the particular class. Smart boards are also very useful tools which give the teacher multiple ways to share their information. They are great for demonstrations, can accommodate different learning styles, and gives internet uses if computers are limited. Although the expand of technology in the past couple years is very beneficial and time saving, there are also some concerns I have about the growth.
But self diagnosis is usually far too inclusive and requires validation by a precautious clinician. When it comes to self educating for autism it is not uncommon for caretakers to turn to the internet which can be a useful communication tool that provides an affluent amount of information and creates a social network of informed consumers. But it can also contribute to the spread of "epidemics". Disorder-focused web-sites (often run by patients and families) provide a powerfully attractive forum and support system that draws people who may inaccurately self over diagnose in order to be part of the internet community.
