This drug war just doesn’t affect Mexico it affects other countries. Drugs are killing everyone and the distribution must stop. News reports say that drug trafficking has become bigger than ever. Mexico
America’s war on drugs can be won and drugs can be eliminated forever. People have to be cautious and not talk to shady strangers because they might be trying to sell you something illegal. People can avoid drugs and sorts of illegal things by becoming more knowledgeable on the subject. The law enforcement, anti-drug groups, or anybody can help eliminate by raising more awareness. They should spread the word and tell people taking drugs is against the law or that drugs are bad for your health or even that drugs can make you go bankrupt.

Choosing this source was not hard; TIME has a reputation of reliable information; to withhold this reputation TIME Magazine does not put stories and headlines to spread gossip, rather use their magazine and writers to inform the nation of big events happening near or far away. There is no question that TIME Magazine is one of the most reliable and consistent magazines to read, for the magazines work to distribute story worthy new about past, present and future problems, in a serious and direct manor. March 19, 2012 Drug Trafficking in the US The effects of drug trafficking in the US could be a result of lack of protection on the boarders. Tons and tons of drugs are being transported across the boarder yearly and it is polluting our populations and ruining families on a daily basis. The question that should be answered is if there is a fence built across the boarder would this reduce the amount of drug trade into the US? I intend to research this topic and prove that if the US would build the fence that drug trafficking can be decreased. "Operations Reciprocity and Limelight dramatically demonstrate that Mexican drug traffickers are displacing at least some of the Colombian organizations which have traditionally dominated the New
Politicians love to use the idea that removing legal guns will drastically reduce suicides, asassinations, gang-violence, school shootings, accidental child deaths, and general murders. They don’t consider the fact that someone that wants to kill themselves will do it anyway they can, or a college kid trying to tear up his school will just blow it up if he cant find a gun. Gang’s don’t use registered guns to commit their crimes, they use black market weapons. The result of implementing full gun control will not only endager the civilians of the country because they cannot defend themselves, but will also lead to people losing their freedom and living in fear. The criminals should be living in fear because they know that their victims have the ability to retaliate when attacked.
The phrase ‘death chariots’ with their association of death, violence and destruction has the intended affect to fear readers of these manic, destructive young teens. It is this appeal to fear which evokes activity in the community to promote a change in society. Wowser also refers to the waste of ‘our tax dollar on a futile and ineffective effort to lower road toll by advertising’ reiterating that the law in place is not desired. This evokes hostility and a want for change in readers. Wowser adds an appeal to community service in saying it is rare ‘to find a young person who is a member of the Salvation Army’.
Forty seven-thousand murders, thousands kidnapped, and thousands tortured surely someone is to blame, and surely someone can stop, or contain the violence. No, in today’s day and age amazingly there is no one, no agency, and no government willing to tackle this problem, as if doing so would be an indication of blame. From the numbers given above one might think I am referring to a large scale war, genocide, or even the Holocaust. The forty seven- thousand murdered people and thousands of others that were kidnapped and or tortured are actually the victims of the Mexican drug cartel violence. Why will the president and congress go to war to protect U.S. citizens from terrorism?
Bennett’s chapter against the legalization of drugs he speculates that the legalization of drugs would remove the criminal stigma that currently labels drug users. Bennett theorizes that a removal of this stigma would take with it the hesitation felt by the majority of people who see no positives in a life of crime. He is talking about every drug which one would agree that such a broad decriminalization would send our country into a downward spiral filled with addicted citizens barely able to function within society. The hard drugs that Bennett describes are in fact a danger to society such drugs like PCP, heroin or crack cocaine. However, he barely touches on the fact of marijuana alone.

Some long-term effects are: suppression of the immune system, growth disorders, increase of abnormally structured cells in the body, or inability to understand things clearly. The foundation for a drug-free world feels very strongly when it comes to be being against marijuana; rather it’s with their arguments or by their name. It seems like they want to free the world of all drugs, not just marijuana. They talk about the affects of drugs like heroin, crack, cocaine, and even crystal meth. With marijuana they really stress negatives that it can do to your body.
