You Deserve by Les Brown Last class, I was watched a video of Les Brown by Dr. John. This video was very interesting because it was not only funny, but it also had highly educated. I was admired Brown, why? Before I tell you why let me talk little bit about Brown's background I had heard in the video. Born a twin in low-income Liberty City in Miami, Florida, Les and his twin brother were adopted when they were six weeks old by Mrs. Mamie Brown, a single mother who had very little education and financial means, but a very big heart.

ElizabThe Leaving: Elizabeth’s a strong character (Story by Budge Wilson) My impression after reading this story was that Elizabeth is a strong character. Many people know Elizabeth as a very strict and plain woman, but, having many strong qualities, it changes the character of Elizabeth rather strong than strict. Being a strong character, does not necessarily mean to have a sufficient amount of strength, but to have more leadership skills, bravery, and independence. Firstly, the physical appearance of Elizabeth, and the way she shows her body language, is a true example of a strong character. According to this quote from the leaving.
This theme can be related to Aunt Alexandra and her racial views. To Aunt Alexandra, family is super important and she tries to teach Jem and Scout her views on family. At first Scout does not quite understand her aunts thoughts on family, but Jem does when he explains to Scout that, "There are four kinds of folk in the world" This is a great example of Jem starting to mature and realize his Aunts perspective on family. He goes on to explain that these four kinds of folk are. There is The Finch family (representing the white-middle class), the Cunningham family (poor class) the Ewell family (lowest of the whites) and the Robinson family (representing the black community).
She was the oldest out of eight siblings; she had both 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Due to the many siblings she had, she wasn’t able to attend college, thus being able to meet my grandfather Clearance in the year 1955. Together they had a total of six kids, in which my grandmother stayed home and cared for them, while my grandfather open and ran his own personal construction business. Much is to be said about my grandmother, but I could talk days on end about her. She is by far one of the most influential people in my life, her hard-work and optimism are just two of the things I admire most about her.
AJ Riley Mr. Fuller English 1117 Reading and Writing Critically I 9/25/14 Wise Man Alter Weiner was just like every other kid at the age of 13. He had a normal family and a set loving parents. His real mother died at the age of 4. As he said “I don’t remember her face but my stepmother treated me and my older brother very well. She was devoted to us as she was to her own child.” Alter’s father ran a successful business that he inherited from his parents.
My name Canice Dike, and this is my family tree of the Nwosu/Dike interjection. My birth began in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania , also known as the “City of Brotherly Love”. I had a tough life growing up because my mother went through trouble with my father. To be honest I was almost born in prison, but to be honest it was kind of a good thing. If I was born in a rich based area I would probably be a spoiled little kid and I thank god for being able to see through the struggles of one’s family and through the struggles of all this I think that it made me stronger and that I sympathize with the families that work super hard to make it in life.
Javillonar 1 Shemaiah Javillonar AP Literature Period 0 The Great Gatsby In the book, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Nick, the narrator, narrates in 1st person; involving interpretation of the novel’s events through the narrator. Nick watched the events unfold, like the illustrations of the book are two eyes looking over the city, which would be Nick, who is a witness in the story. There are so many reasons why Nick is a reliable narrator. Nick is a reliable narrator because first of all, Nick is cousins with Daisy whose husband is Tom which they met at college and he is also next door neighbors with Gatsby so he makes a great eyewitness for these three, off the batch because he links all of them together which sets most of the main ideas of the story. If Nick wouldn’t have known or have been close to most of the characters he wouldn’t have been reliable because he could’ve been making up the story and making assumptions about all of them.
The main rules on parenthood are to raise your children to be respectful, diligent, mindful, and grateful human beings. However, we lack all those traits by teaching our children the wrong things or them not having one of their parents involved in their lives. African American males sometimes set bad examples for their kids by teaching them what their father taught them when they were little. Most black fathers teach their kids to have hate towards woman and to be the alpha male in the relationship. Also, the children listen to their fathers talk about how many woman they use to have and how girls are all the same.
