The book name is “The Housekeeper and the Professor” by Yoko Ogawa. This novel book was originally published in Japan by Shinchosha Publishing Co., Ltd., Tokyo, under the title Hakase no Aishita Sushiki in 2003 and later this novel book was translated into English language copyright © 2009 by Stephen Snyder. This book is very interesting and enjoyable to read. It is more charming. This book is about what it means to live in the present; it’s about a Professor who has a short time memory of only eighty minutes and about the curious equations. He also has a doctorate degree in mathematics. He usually forgot everything whatever happened after car accident but he remembers everything before the accident. I think the author was trying to tell that how much the professor love and deeply remember about mathematics and also tells about humanities. The Professor had head injury by car accident, and he has lived with only eighty minutes of short-term memory after that time. His life became challenging, but, he still is very much alive and brilliant with mathematics and numbers. His sister-in-low hired for him a housekeeper who is a single mother with a ten year old son. There is a strange and interesting relationship blossoms between the professor, housekeeper, and her son. The housekeeper has acknowledged about the Professor and his past and also discovers more about her. The son and the Professor develop a very much friendly relationship, sharing a love of math and baseball. They feel the same way about mathematics and spent their time with numbers. The Professor also cares for children. Therefore, the Professor's relationship and caring for son also endears him to the housekeeper. This is an absolutely wonderful book; it was well written step by step from one part to the next and very much easy to read and follow. I found it very interesting to read. I
