Why Professionals choose to enter the helping field Tara Taylor BSHS/305 August 25, 2014 Professor Jennifer Brennan Why Professionals choose to enter the helping Field Professionals choose to enter the helping field for different reasons, some professional, and personal or because they simply want to help others get their life back or just a chance to have a better life. Some professionals get a chance to have a better life. Some professionals get a sense of approval when helping others whether offering direct or indirect assistance. Professionals that enter the helping field are normally mature, sympathetic and established individuals who help others through interesting conditions. They receive a sense of approval when they help people in need. Some professionals choose to enter the helping field in the hopes of giving back. These individuals have lived on the other side of the fence. They have lived the life and now they want to help those that are in the same shoes that they once were in. They actually have personal experiences with their families of people with different issues. All of these aspects of life have given professionals the motivation to become a worker in the helping field to help those needing help. People chose to enter the helping field because many people around have children with disabilities or dysfunctions within the home and want to make a difference with them. Now, on the other hand, some professionals enter the helping field for other factors such as self-exportation and excerpt control over the clients they serve. These last two factors should be avoided at all cost because those factors could become a problem to the clients as well as the professionals.
