The Happiest Vacation. I went on a vacation to India with my wife last year. It was my most memorable and exciting vacation. We arrived at Mumbai airport in India. It was our first vacation after we immigrated to the United States. There were many beautiful places in India for the visitors and the choice was so difficult. At last, we decided to visit the northern Agra, and in the southern Goa. Accompanying us were my sister- in- laws and their husbands. We enjoyed each and every moment while we travelled together. First we went to Agra, where located is the eighth wonder of the world. The most memorable part of the vacation was the Taj Mahal, which is called the symbol of Eternal love. We had chance to learn about the history of Taj Mahal. It is more than 350 years since Taj Mahal was built, but it has not lost its romantic aura, which attracts millions of visitors towards it. Taj Mahal is built by King Shahjahan in the memory of his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. It was made marble and the beauty is indefinable. On the 2nd day we left for Goa, a beautiful place surrounded by beautiful beaches. One of the main attration is Abode of Gods, built in the 16th century. Basilica of Bom Jesus is the most popular and famous of the churches of Goa. River cruise is the attraction in Goa. The most popular cruise on the river Mandovi is Santa Monica, situated near the typically Goan village of Aldona. The third day we went for the celebration of carnival, a Portuguese legacy.Goans celebrate the carnival with dances and music. Usually the carnival exudes the spirit of joie, with tourist and locals dancing in the street. There we had seen the mixed culture of Goa is manifest in other festivals too. Their dance forms are vivid example of this fusion of oriental and western cultures with predominantly western music and oriental movements. Goa’s beaches are very attractive.
