The Great Train Robbery Memories! We all have them from our childhood. Something you see, smell, or touch can bring them back to your mind. I have 3 sisters and two brothers. Of course, I remember a lot of childhood moments with each and every one of them. Having a twin sister has had it rewards and also caused a bit of trouble over the years. We were always being called by each other’s name and it confused a lot of people. We soon began to see we could use it to our advantage and also use it for jokes. When we were in grade school we just could not help talking to each other in class. The teachers finally decided to split us up and put us in separate classes. At first we were devastated because we were so used to doing everything together. After a few weeks we decided to switch classes to fool the teachers. We got away with it for a while until one of us told a classmate what we were doing. Well, they told the teacher and they called our parents into school. Needless to say, we didn’t do that again. But, the one memory that will always stay in my mind is the summer my sister Jean decided to “hold up” a train. Jean was always the tomboy and that year for Christmas she got a set of cap-guns. She practiced pulling them from her holster and shooting at anything that moved. She would rapidly fire each one until the smoke came out of the guns. She thought she was the “fastest gun in the west.” We were playing at a nearby park one sunny afternoon when we heard the far off whistle of a train. The train tracks ran alongside the park. She decided she was going to “hold up the train.” Well, she ran over to the tracks and could see the light of the engine far off into the distance. She got in the middle of the tracks and stood her ground. As the train finally approached she pulled out her guns. She even had a handkerchief over her face like they did in the old cowboy
