In other words, hunting had been part of their descendant’s heritage and traditions for as long as they could remember. There is no place that validates the heritage and traditions of hunting and ignites the hunter’s passion more than deer camp. These temporary hamlets of ‘hopes and dreams’ spring up every hunting season in the American wilderness bringing together hunters of all ages for a week of ritualistic ‘man bonding’ and hunting anticipation. At deer camp, Stories of faded glories, dreams of future triumphs, and boastings of skill and daring are shared. Hunting tactics, strategies, wisdom and knowledge is pooled, as well as meals are prepared and eaten together.
Victor was a scientist who lived happily in his mansion; he lived in solitude, just with his dog “William”. One day, little William got lost in the woods and couldn’t find the way back. The next morning, Victor found him dead at the entrance of his mansion. At this point, victor started to get some crazy ideas of reviving his dog through science, and in the long run he became crazy. The entire town where he lived called him “Victor the Mad Scientist”, this because since his dog’s death, he started collecting dead body parts from the cemetery for his experiments.
The Arctic wolves are the prey of the Grey wolf and coyotes. The Artic Wolf’s behaviour is very headstrong and bold. They can endure the Arctic weather conditions with the help of their deeply insulated pale white fur. They are capable of surviving for years in sub-zero temperatures and for five months, each year, they live in pitch darkness. Arctic Wolves travel in approximately 20 wolves per pack and each pack deliberately tries to avoid other packs.
He leaves his house one night after dark and as he goes into the woods he “beheld the figure of a man, in grave and decent attire sitting at the foot of an old tree” (391). The man is said to look a lot like Goodman Brown, which could suggest that every person has the capacity to do evil. Hawthorne also implies that the Devil is an embodiment of all of the worst qualities of a man. As they walk through the woods Goodman Brown starts to see people that he has known for his whole life and it makes him question how good these people are. Among them are his old Sunday school teacher, Goody Cloyse whom the Devil reveals is a witch.

Old Yeller by Fred Gipson Old Yeller is a story set in the wild frontier of Texas in the late 1860s. A boy named Travis met a stray dog called Old Yeller which stole his family’s food and at first thought it was a rascal. However, Travis grew to care for Old Yeller after he saved Travis’ little brother Arliss from a raging she-bear. Old Yeller proved to be a great asset, helping Travis and his family fend off wild animals on several occasions. Tragically, Old Yeller died at the end of the story due to a plague.
