Christina Jordan Teresa Johnson English Composition 1 22 September 2013 The Fairy Girl Riding into the sky and leaving the ground behind, having no fear of falling, to be free a “fairy”. This drawing was made by one of the best artist I know Anna Ignatieva. When a drawing comes to mind and bleeds onto paper it becomes alive. This photo known as The Fairy Girl is one of my most favorite drawings of all my collections. It is lovely and detailed in its own little way. This is just one of many genres I am very passionate about and will not be the last. The lightness feel of small extracting fairies drifting away from paper is endless. Fairies clinging onto the strands of hair and skin of the beautiful Girl is a wonderful touch to the drawing. I love the side view of the picture the most, side views bring out a much more beautiful profile. To align the shape and side view just right is a challenge in itself but when it is right it all becomes one to be perfect. The face is partly covered by her hair, thick strands sway down the cheek of her flawless complexion. Her jaw line is rounded and angled just to the upper left and hidden behind strand of flowing angle hair. Her lips are slightly puckered as she blows a kiss to one of the small fairies that once held and shaped the girl Hair has several ends, strands, roots, drop offs and color to it to not be ignored. The hair of this Fairy drawing is the main part in this artwork. The small fairies shape the hair forming everything into the creation of a fairy to be unique. She is losing her small fairies, losing her hair per se has a lot of meaning. It shows she is dying and ready to let go of her once formed fairy body. She has stems growing into her scalp creating flowered vines down her long wavy hair. As some fairies lose their grip onto hair, some cling on wishing to not let go.
