The Economical Effects of The Expocruz fair It’s been 50 years since its creation in 1962, by the CAINCO and the CAO, and during the years the Expocruz fair has grown up gradually, it’s also known as “the monster “because is considered the biggest fair of Bolivia and one of the most important of the region of SantaCruz, due to the big economic movement that generates the expocruz fair. This event takes place at the end of September for 10 days, the expocruz fair has 2 positive economic effects to our country: it generates direct and indirect jobs and large income of money in business and sale of tickets. One economic effect is the creation of direct and indirect jobs. Every year the expocruz generates a big economic movement because many enterprises increased their productions and so they need more personal and with that they generates work for others. Krugman explains that the increase in the productivity of a country is the only path that leads to a higher standard of living of the population in the long term (1). Therefore the expocruz fair provides many opportunities of work to many people and not only to the ones who work in the enterprises but others like taxi drivers, painters, builders, merchants, and others. According to Julio Roda , the president of expocruz, this year expocruz generates 73.500 jobs in which 26.250 were direct and 47.250 were indirect. Althoughexpocruz is in our city, it generates economic movement in all the country and it helps to improve the standard of life of many people. Another economic effect is the large income of money that is generated in business and the sale of tickets.Theexpocruzfair have national and international enterprises that supply their products for instance EE.UU, Japan and German,that offer new technology in terms of cars, cell phones and computers.
