I believe that Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence had a greater effect on revolutionary America because it was very specific on the things Britain did wrong and what America wanted, it wanted the best for America, and the Declaration of Independence wanted what was best for Americans. However, Thomas Paine’s pamphlet “Common Sense” came before and was longer than the Declaration of Independence. Therefore, the Declaration of Independence had a larger effect than the pamphlet “Common Sense” because of the length and how specific it was.
