The differences between The Voice and The Star. When people watch reality show on TV, the show that people really enjoyed and would not mind to watch it again and again is singing competitions. In Thailand, the famous reality singing competitions are The Voice and The Star. Although the two singing competitions look similar, they have something different in terms of concept of show, pattern, and coaches and commentators. First of all, The Voice is a reality television singing competition on channel 3. It is produced by True Music and Toh-Klom Television. The show’s concept is implied by its title, The Voice, that the coaches do not judge the competitors by their looks, personalities, stage performances or abilities of dance. They concentrate just the competitors’ vocal ability. While the star is a reality television singing competition produced by Exact, a GMM Grammy company, and broadcast on Modernine TV. The concept of The Star is very differences from The Voice because the show focuses on everything not only vocal but also good image are needed. The competitors who want to be selected to the show should have versatility such as singing, dancing, and stage performance. Next, the pattern of show in The Voice has been separated to four rounds: Blind audition, Battle round, Knockout round, and Live playoff. There is no age range and any one can come to audition. The most interesting is in the first round, Blind audition, the competitors are going to sing and coaches cannot see their faces and performances. If the coaches like that voice, he or she will press the bottom to make the chair spin around and faces the performers.
